Well friends, it’s that time of year again… The end of the snowy season and the beginning of what is usually a month of rain, soccer, and cleaning up around the property.
Yay for Spring!
There aren’t any flowers blooming yet, but with all the rain we’ve received the last two weeks I know they should soon be sprouting all around our yard.
This is rough time of year for me. The shining sun does wonders for my depressed mood that tends to linger through the long winter months. But those cold, rainy, overcast days seem to be come more often that we would like and can be mood killers.
You know the ones where you want to just lay in bed all day eating ice cream and watching trash tv? Don’t you wish we actually had time to do that?
We’ve had a lot of those days the last few weeks.
We try to make the best of them.
But I know that this season doesn’t last long and while I struggle to get through them, I know that the dark rainy days will open us up to the beauty that even the darkness has to offer.
SOCCER and Baseball
Spring sports have begun here in our neck of the woods.
Zoie has decided to play two sports this year and though I know she’ll be tired when the weekend comes, she’s going to have the time of her life.
Soccer started this last week and she instantly remember how much she loves to run… something she did not get from me.
The first soccer game of the season was this past Saturday.
It was cold and rainy which was exactly what we all expected.
The soccer field is where you will find us every Saturday for the next month.
Baseball starts today.
We can’t wait!
With all the rain we’ve been getting, Zach decided it was a good time to clean up around the shop and start a big fire to burn the brush.
To me and Zoie, this meant it was time to roast and enjoy some marshmallows.
Sugar, dirt, and fire… does it get much better than that?
Hope everyone is enjoying their spring. It’ll be summer before we know it.
