Remember back in May when I started my garden for the year?
When I changed everything, and planted my entire garden in tires?
Remember when it looked like this?
I never imagined that things would turn out as well as they have.
This is what it looks like now!
It’s crazy how much everything has grown. It’s almost out of control.
I’d like to think it’s because of all the hard work I put into it. Or it’s because of the added heat from the tires. Or it could even be because we’ve have had an unusually warm summer.
I’m sure though, it’s a combination of all of these things.
I almost can’t even believe it.
We’ve had an overabundance of fresh, organic veggies all summer.
It’s been wonderful. Everything is growing faster than we can eat it.
I’m giving things away to everyone!
We’ve eaten so many tomatoes, cucumbers, and green peppers that we’ll be stocked full of vitamins all winter long.
We even have a couple cantaloupes growing.
And, this is the first year I have every gotten a watermelon to grow. I’ve planted them many times, but they’ve never grown.
If you’re in the area… hit me up! We have lots to share 🙂

August 24, 2015 at 1:21 pmWhat a beautiful garden area. Your plants are so large and healthy, and your produce looks fabulous. I’ve tried caring for a small garden in the past with a disappointing outcome. In our neighborhood squirrels, birds, raccoons, and opossum made things really difficult! It’s beautiful to see a harvest outcome as wonderful as yours. 🙂

August 24, 2015 at 1:25 pmYikes! We have a deer problem here but fences help with that. I don’t know how to keep the little critters out. Best of luck to you!

August 24, 2015 at 8:35 pmNormally I can and freeze a lot of stuff, but this year I have been so busy I haven’t done anything. Major fail.
