Last week Zoie had her last day of preschool.
It’s crazy! She’s getting so big. This year has flown by!
So many mama emotions running through me. My little baby is gone and she’s been replaced by this big, independent girl. A big girl who sleeps in her own bed, ties her own shoes, writes her name, and insists on feeding the dog and chickens all by her own self. I don’t know when this all happened, this has been the wildest three years of my life. I am both anxious and excited to see what’s to come next year.
See? Look how much she’s grown!!
Crazy, right?? Her little baby-faced cheeks are gone. Makes me wanna cry a little.
I’m a little anxious to see the changes she makes over the summer.
The Friday following her last day of school they had scheduled a barbeque for all the kiddos as a little send off for the summer. All the kiddos were so excited to see each other after a week at home.
Zoie’s best friend, Tyler, was there. Aren’t they just the sweetest thing?!? Best friends for life!

For the barbeque, we were all asked to bring a side dish or dessert to share with everyone.
I let Zoie choose what she wanted to bring. Of course she chose fruit. My sweet girl and her healthy choices. Love! #ParentingWin
This is my favorite fruit salad to make for parties. It’s all berries and I love berries!
Berry Fruit Salad
1 Package of Fresh Blueberries
1 Package of Fresh Strawberries, cut up
1 Package of Fresh Raspberries
1 Package of Fresh Blackberries
(Sometimes I add a banana or two, cause it’s delicious)
3 Tablespoons Honey or Agave Syrup
3-5 drops Lime Essential Oil*
Wash all the berries and mix gently in a big bowl. (If adding, peel and cut banana into desired sized pieces and add to berries.) Don’t worry, bananas won’t turn brown.
In a small bowl, whisk together honey and Lime Essential Oil.
Pour honey mixture over berries and mix gently.
Serve immediately.
(It’s also good if you want to add a dollop of whipped cream.)
*You can substitue essential oil with one fresh lime. Zest the lime into the honey and add some fresh squeezed lime juice. If your limes aren’t particularly juicy, you may need more than one lime.*
If you don’t have essential oil and you would like to get some, you can order HERE.
There you have it.
SO EASY! The perfect addition to any summer get together!
Be sure to try it this summer!!

June 12, 2015 at 8:25 amI’m jealous you have a famers market with berries, the ones here only have plants right now. The berries at Costco have been really good lately though 🙂
